Community Service

As a form of introduction, I dedicate this page to the non-profit agencies that I am affiliated with.

The League of Women Voters, Seattle Washington.  I perform various technical services and I am active in several committees:

International Relations Committee;

Technical Committee;

Voter Registration;

Moderator for group discussions on Civil Liberties.

Washington DECA, Distributive Education Clubs of America, an international association of marketing students, which provides members and advisors with development activities.  Those activities I perform include:

Business plan judging for high school national and international competition;

Business plan presentations judging for high school national and international competition;

Mentoring high school students for planning career and educational choices.

World Affairs Council, Judge at Global Classroom competition

The World Affairs Challenge is an academic program for Middle School students. The theme for 2005, "Global Energy: Empowering the Future," challenged students to understand the complexities of global energy use.

Foreign Policy Association, Moderator at Great Decisions

In conjunction with the Foreign Policy Association in New York, many world affairs councils run Great Decisions programs in colleges and universities, schools of continuing education, or secondary schools, as well as through community discussion groups.
